have you ever thought someone was breaking into your house?
johnny trash asked:
and got disappointed when you found out it was a false alarm after you already loaded up a shotgun?

Well, one time my brother woke me up at like 2:00 in the morning with a knife in his hand, because he thought someone was in our house. Scared the hell out of me. I then of course had to search the entire damn house just to feel safe. Little bastard.

I didn’t have a shotgun but there have been billions of times i thought someone else was in my house. Once I even Ran into a room because there was someone at the door in an all blue suit and a big black box. With a scowl look on his face, I ran to my room and I grabbed a cell phone- that of course didn’t work and you know what I found out…..
it was the guy coming to fix the freezer… ^^

I sleep with a pistol under my bed. I’ve woke up to what sounded like someone coming up the stairs and I stood loaded waiting to unload when it turned out to be a very tired dog slowly ascending the stairs to make her way into bed.
My dogs have also woke me in the middle of the night barking at the slider to the deck and came down loaded only to find them warning me of a family of racoons.
I live in the middle of nowhere and it’s black as pitch out here at night.

Yes, because my husband sat straight up and said to me “Did you hear that?” When I asked did I hear what, his answer was “The glass breaking!” So then I’m wide awake and poking him to get up and check-turns out he was sound asleep and talking to me in his sleep! I have no idea what the dream was, but if I’d had a shotgun he might have been in trouble.

Nope didn’t need a gun, caught the s.o.b climbing in a window.Introduced him to Mr Louisville Slugger,A busted collar bone got his attention.Didn’t have my glasses on or i would have pursued the matter outside, where it would wash off more easily.

we live in a relatively safe neighborhood, and I was watching tv on the couch. It was 2:00am and a young teen came in my kitchen door, I didnt register it at first since he seemed to know what he was doing, he went right for the basement door and walked down stairs. Of course most of my dogs were down there in the family room and started a ruckus. I then ran to wake my husband and we got a pole from the closet since we dont believe in guns. We walked to the stairs and called to him saying we were calling police and that the dogs will attack him if we say the word… not really since they are friendly as hell. I do own a Cane Corso/Pitt mix but hes sweet though he looks like a terror. He answered back so scared, ” my name is Adam, I am a friend of Noah’s the guy next door, I am a little drunk, and I think I came in the wrong house, I am not familar to the area” We started laughing and called him up and out. He was shaking and so scared. Our neighbors and our old house were almost exactly similar floor plans and I could see the mistake in the dark, since there house is tan and ours is yellow but in the street lights its the same shade. He told me with a shaky smile that my dog, Sigmond scared the s-h-i-t out of him downstairs. He said he backed up to the wall, but siggy just put a paw on him and sat in front of him till we called to him to come up. He said he thought he’d kill him, I told him no that siggy cant hurt anyone. I showed him. The next day he came over and apologized again, brought over a bag of dog biscuits and played with Siggy in the backyard for a while. It was the strangest and scariest thing ever to me. After that we always lock our door.

Yep, sure hated it was just the paper man and oh well we did drag him into the house after shooting him,,,really disappointed, he was a good paper thrower, not just kidding.
yep, it was when we lived in the country before moving, and it was storming out, and kept hearing this loud peck peck and thought someone was coming through the upstairs bedroom window, went up with loaded bat in hubby’s hand of course, and it was the screen loose on the window, to make it even worse, the dogs kept hearing it and having a fit, could just see an ax murderer up there….
while going up the stairs to check it out, it popped loud once due to the wind, I grabbed my hubby from behind and it jumped 3 feet in the air, I scared him so bad, and I could not stop laughing, he got the shock of his life…aferwards, he could not stop laughing, as we still continued upstairs to check it out.
motto of this story, don’t grab anyone while they have a bat in hand…ha ha,
