Well, if anything, you may think of getting a dog. A dog will protect you and your house, pluse you’ll have some company to be with if you are alone. You could also set up security cameras, so if someone does break in, you can call the police and show the tape. Good luck!! (=^.^=)

hope he comes back so you can use all your many fun traps and gajets to get him. im serious. let him come into the lions den. youre at the advantage with this one. put broken light bulb glass all around the floor next to the windows. have alot of things set up ready to fall at the slightest movment. lock your door and have a gun. this is where it gets intersting. if that fool tries to break into your room and invade your last line of defense, by law, you have every right to shoot him. on the other hand, if you have a gun and an intruder is in your house just stealing stuff, you cant go after him. whats even more stupid is that if you go after him with a weapon or whatever and try to attack him, he can sue you for assault. his reason being that he wasnt there to harm you. just to steal your stuff. and he can win. the laws are jacked.

Listen, if your alarm went off and scared the guy, then you have almost nothing to worry about.
I know you are very scared but the truth is that if this was a burglar, do you really think he will come back to a place where he knows has an alarm?
Burglars HATE alarms and will do anything to avoid them!
If you fear this was not a burglar or thief and that it was someone you know or if you have been stalked or harassed lately, then maybe you should tell the police your fears and consider having someone stay with you or arming yourself somehow.
The good news is that this probably was a burglar and THEY DO NOT WANNA COME TO A HOUSE THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN TO AND KNOW HAS AN ALARM!!!!!
Burglars hate alarms!
Thieves hate alarms!
They will not hit the same house twice when it has an ALARM!
